It is understood that Shaanxi Beiyuan Chemical's million-ton polyvinyl chloride recycling comprehensive utilization project is currently underway and is progressing smoothly. This project is a key construction project in Shaanxi Province. The main construction equipment of the project includes 1 million tons/year polyvinyl chloride, 800,000 tons/year caustic soda plant, 4x600,000-kilowatt generating units and 2.4 million tons/year industrial waste cement production line. Among them, the generator set provides steam for the project, the waste heat is used for power generation, and the calcium carbide mud residue produced in the production process of polyvinyl chloride and the fly ash produced by power generation are used to produce cement.

The total investment of the project is 8 billion yuan. The project planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2009 includes the first 250,000-ton PVC production line, 2 x 600,000-kilowatt generator sets and 1.2 million-ton cement production line. All projects will be completed and put into production in 2011. After the project is completed, it will be the largest PVC production base in the country.
